Dirt Jumps
If it feels like Ryan Nyquist has been at it forever, well that's cause he has been...in action sports terms, at least. At the age of 36, Nyquist is no longer some up-and-coming ripper, but that doesn't mean he can't still throw it down at a moment's notice, and his brand new video part for Haro Bikes is proof of that and more. Check it out and stop complaining about how bad your knees hurt, kid.
And yes, it's in an abandoned mine
BMX and motocross combined
Ryan Nyquist touches down in southern California for a epic day of dirt trail riding with the boys! Kicking things off in Heath Pinter's backyard, Ryan's excited to hit a spot he's seen plenty of footage from but hadn't yet had a chance to ride. Cruising through the morning everyone has a good time before breaking for lunch. Ryan packs up and continues on to Stephen Murray's house. Stephen has created a BMX dirt playground in his backyard with plenty of lines and an insane off the balcany to mega dirt jump set up! Ryan rides hard, stomps a few tricks and even takes a few slams. If you're not limping a bit after a day like this you we're trying hard enough!

In this episode of Getting Awesome With Ryan Nyquist, Zak Earley teaches you how to Can-Can. This trick is all about staying balanced over the bike while extending your leg across the bar and off to the side. The trick to the trick is maintaining your balance and making sure to lift your leg back up over the bike. Keep at them with the goal of getting full extension and adding your own personal style like Zak! New episodes drop alternating Tuesdays.

It works slightly better than his fireworks-powered creation.
Back in the 1990s, BMX rider Ryan Nyquist did barspins so often that BMX fans thought he had some kind of machine in his bike. For the latest episode of Getting Awesome, Nyquist sets about creating just such a machine. He starts with simple bungee cords and then moves on to coiled springs and, yes, fireworks to get his handlebars to spin. In the end, Nyquist goes all out and sets up a direct drive pulley system that is powered by a motorcycle battery. Nyquist takes his invention to a dirt jump where he completes not just one but two machine-powered barspins.
Is there any kind of motor vehicle that Pastrana can't drive?
The top BMX riders will test their dirt jumping and trail riding skills at the Red Bull Dreamline contest in Wabasha, Minnesota. The event, which is part of the Red Bull Signature Series will air on Saturday, October 19th at 5pm ET on NBC.
